Southeast Asia possesses good environmental condition as it experiences high temperature and high precipitation, which is good for crops growing as well as it has costal area, which encourages oversea trade. They need to focus on how to utilize the resources and use science technology to enhance agriculture development. For example they can invent new species which can produce more or can reduce the harvest time. And they need to analyze characteristics of different region to decide how to grow rice well. This relates to biology, geography, chemistry and other fields.

After reading this article, I think of a common fact that people always consider them as the most powerful and ignore the power and importance of the nature. And they always focus on the usage for leisure activities and relaxation and the economical contribution of the nature, more than how it protects human beings and the environment, and how it affects our life. The mangrove forest is a obvious example. After learning the great function of mangrove forest, I reflect that actually the surroundings have a lot of value which I did not find out or notice before. Not only should the beauty of the nature be appreciated, but also the inner value. And the cherish only works when protecting the helpful nature not too late. I will find out more about the nature in and beyond the class as well as observe and learn about the surroundings hiding lots of value we do not know.
